Summary
We are seeking a motivated and experienced Field Service Electrician to join our growing team. This role is ideal for an individual who enjoys troubleshooting complex electrical and hydraulic systems, working in the field, and providing exceptional service to customers in the oil and gas industry.
As a Field Service Electrician, you will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, inspection, troubleshooting, and repair of Top Drive systems, including both electrical and hydraulic components. This is a dynamic position that combines field service work with shop-based responsibilities when field assignments are not required.
Responsibilities
· Diagnose, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain electrical and hydraulic Top Drive systems.
· Perform preventative maintenance, inspections, and equipment testing.
· Provide technical support in the field.
· Complete service reports and maintain accurate documentation of repairs and maintenance activities.
· Adhere to all company, client, and regulatory health, safety, and environmental standards.
· Work collaboratively with shop personnel and other field technicians to ensure equipment readiness.
· Perform shop duties, equipment repairs, and maintenance when not deployed to the field.
· Maintain company vehicles, tools, and equipment in a clean and serviceable condition.
Qualifications
· Valid Electrical Apprentice or Journeyman certification.
· Previous experience working as an industrial or field service electrician is required.
· Experience with hydraulic systems and oilfield equipment is considered a strong asset.
· Strong electrical troubleshooting and diagnostic skills.
· Excellent communication and customer service skills.
· Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
· Must be willing and able to travel on short notice.
On-Call & Travel Requirements
This position supports our customers 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Successful candidates must:
- Be available for on-call work and emergency service calls.
- Be able to travel on short notice, including evenings, weekends, and holidays when required.
- Demonstrate flexibility and reliability, as availability is critical to the success of this role.

Pay: $35.00-$45.00 per hour
