What you will do:
You will be responsible for process planning, programming, and setting up CNC machines to produce products that meet safety, quality, cost, compliance, and efficiency objectives. Trouble shooting and optimization are also important responsibilities of this role.
The ideal candidate will support the skills development of other members of the Machining department. You are generous in sharing your knowledge and experience and have an aptitude for training.
Although this is a day shift position (Monday through Friday), there will be times when you are required to assist other shifts (e.g. introducing new processes or product, training).
You will also:
· Write, modify, edit and troubleshoot CNC programs for Kitamura and Fadal machines using Mastercam (3 and 4 axis operations)
· Review and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, sample parts, or specifications to determine dimensions and tolerances of finished work pieces, sequence of operations and setup requirements
· Develop First Article Inspection reports
· Work with Product Development / Engineering and Production staff to ensure a smooth transition of new product from planning to production
· Establish optimal feeds and speeds of machines for the production process
· Run test samples, monitor equipment operation and make operating adjustments as required
· Interact with Engineering and Production staff to solve production related problems
· Make recommendations to improve processes and yields, reduce cost and improve quality
· Set up and maintain adjustable support tools (fixturing)
· Perform setups in CNC machines based on process specifications
· Monitor quality and troubleshoot machine processes as needed, adjusting setups, calibrations and alignments and reprograming controls to achieve established quality standards
· Contribute to the skills development of CNC operators (changeovers, setup and tool changes)
· Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications Required Are:
- Minimum of 3 years of experience performing CNC programming, together with a minimum of 3 years experience in setting up CNC milling machines, fixtures and tools
- Proven proficiency with Mastercam (3 axis)
- Proficient in practical application of GD&T (identify, understand and communicate engineering tolerances)
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, Power Point)
- Detail oriented with emphasis on quality
- Strong organizational skills
