Bannister Nissan Chilliwack is seeking an experienced, hands-on automotive service professional to lead our Service and Parts operations. This is a high-impact role where your experience, work ethic, and accountability will directly influence team performance, customer satisfaction, and dealership profitability.
We are looking for someone who takes ownership, leads by example, and is committed to doing things the right way every day. Previous Fixed Operations Manager experience is not required; however, strong automotive service experience is essential. Experience with Nissan or Infiniti products, systems, and dealership operations would be considered a significant asset.

What You Will Do
- Lead, schedule, and support Automotive Technicians and Service Advisors to achieve performance targets and service goals
- Oversee daily Service and Parts operations to ensure smooth workflow and high productivity
- Build a strong team culture through coaching, mentoring, training, and ongoing support
- Deliver an exceptional customer experience by maintaining relationships, resolving concerns promptly, and encouraging repeat business
- Handle escalated customer concerns with professionalism and urgency
- Establish and maintain processes that improve efficiency, quality, and customer satisfaction
- Monitor repair quality, service delivery, and customer interactions to ensure work is completed thoroughly and correctly
- Analyze departmental performance, identify trends, and implement improvements
- Actively manage key performance indicators including gross sales, profitability, customer retention, and CSI
- Assist in forecasting and executing departmental goals and objectives
- Monitor and control departmental expenses
- Work closely with other department managers and the administrative team to support efficient operations and accurate financial processing
- Build and maintain strong relationships with OEM representatives
- Oversee warranty administration and submissions
- Manage parts inventory to maintain healthy stock levels and minimize aged inventory
- Ensure shop equipment is properly maintained, and service records are up to date
- Promote a safe, healthy, and professional workplace
What You Bring
- Minimum 3 years of automotive service department experience in a dealership environment
- Previous Nissan or Infiniti dealership experience is preferred
- Strong Service and/or Parts department experience
- A proven track record of reliability, accountability, and strong work ethic
- Ability to lead by example and earn the respect of technicians and front-line staff
- Strong knowledge of dealership service operations, repair processes, and customer care standards
- Experience with ADP/CDK service applications, including dispatch, is an asset
- Ability to coach, support, and motivate service advisors, technicians, and shop personnel
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to resolve issues quickly and professionally
- Excellent communication skills, both in person and over the phone
- Strong organizational, multitasking, and problem-solving abilities
- Positive, professional attitude with high integrity
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and respond effectively to changing priorities
- Strong teamwork and collaboration skills
- Basic computer proficiency for daily operational tasks
- Valid BC Driver’s License with a clean driving record
