Reporting to the Director, Project Excellence, this position supports Infrastructure's key initiatives by leading and managing projects to positively impact the Ministry's performance metrics. The position will function as an internal business improvement expert for the Ministry in evaluating, planning and implementing improvements in processes and practices; and leading and facilitating project teams with members from various work units across the Ministry. The Continuous Improvement Program Lead will be able to deliver highly complex and strategic process improvement projects following Lean Six Sigma methodology from project definition through to project control. The role will also support the development and delivery of Lean Six Sigma training to help drive a culture of continuous improvement throughout the Ministry. The Continuous Improvement Program Lead is also a critical coaching support for the Continuous Improvement Specialists to ensure quality project delivery, high levels of service, and measurable project results.
This position will work with all levels of management across the Ministry to identify key business drivers, challenges, and requirements that affect service delivery. This requires experience in dealing with ambiguity, and strong expertise in process improvement and stakeholder management. In addition, this role involves a substantial communication component including involvement with members of the senior management team.
To be successful in this position you will require knowledge of business management, project management, change management, Lean 6 Sigma, process improvement, and related tools and techniques and how these are applied to improve efficiency and effectiveness at a corporate level in the organization. Candidates must also possess strong verbal, presentation, and written communication skills with the ability to apply project management processes and business analysis techniques while balancing multiple demands in a fast paced environment. The ability to develop and maintain relationships and collaborative networks is critical. The ability to influence without authority, and motivation to challenge the ?way we've always done it? are key to being successful in this position
A Bachelor's Degree in social sciences, Business, Supply Chain, Economics or related field supplemented with 6 years of progressively responsible related experience in project management and/or business analysis is required. Black Belt certification in Lean Six Sigma is required, while a Master Black Belt would be an asset.
Demonstrated experience in organizational leadership through a minimum of 5 years experience in leading process improvement projects, a minimum of two years experience in coaching Lean Six Sigma Green Belts and/or Black Belts, and experience training and coaching at the executive and management levels is required.
Experience in training Lean Six Sigma at both Green Belt and Black Belt skill set levels and/or developing Lean Six Sigma program deployment (including in transactional and service areas) and/or experience in training and coaching on process management and change management are all considered assets.

$2,993.39 to $4,943.85 bi-weekly ($78,127.47 - $102,934.48 annually)
Hours of Work for this position are 36.25 hours per week, Monday to Friday.
The office is conveniently located in the Neil Crawford Centre (6950 113 Street) next to the South Campus LRT Station.
