We are seeking a detail-oriented and technically skilled Quality Assurance Tester with 4-5 years of experience to join our software development team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for testing a wide range of applications across multiple platforms, ensuring high-quality deliverables through meticulous testing processes.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop Test Strategies, Test Plans, test cases, and testing estimates based on business requirements and user stories.
- Execute Functional, Integration, System, Regression, End-to-End, UAT, Migration, Backend, and Exploratory Testing.
- Design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts using Selenium, TestNG, and BDD/TDD frameworks such as Cucumber.
- Perform database and backend testing using SQL and PL/SQL, including data validation, migration, and conversion testing.
- Create and maintain test data, execute test scenarios, and ensure traceability between requirements and test cases.
- Identify, document, prioritize, and track defects through resolution using Jira and related tools.
- Collaborate with Developers, Product Owners, Business Analysts, and stakeholders throughout the SDLC.
- Support Agile and Waterfall delivery models, including sprint planning, release planning, and UAT activities.
- Produce test metrics, dashboards, and quality reports for stakeholders.
- Drive continuous improvement of testing processes, automation frameworks, and quality practices.
Must have:
- Minimum 4 years of QA testing experience.
- Strong experience in Test Strategy, Test Planning, and Test Execution.
- Hands-on experience with Selenium, TestNG, Cucumber, and test automation frameworks.
- Strong SQL and PL/SQL skills with experience in backend/database testing.
- Experience with Jira, Confluence, Git, Jenkins, and CI/CD pipelines.
- Experience testing cloud-based and mainframe applications.
- Strong understanding of Agile, Waterfall, SDLC, STLC, and UAT methodologies.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
Pay: $85,000.00-$90,000.00 per year
Work Location: Hybrid remote in Toronto, ON (Toronto District)
