Job Details
The City of St. Albert is recruiting an individual to join our Public Operations department as a Transit and Fleet Infrastructure Technician. Reporting to the Manager, Fleet PW & Transit, this position will be responsible for maintaining, trouble shooting, light replacement/repair of technology infrastructure and project implementations of fleet technologies.
Qualifications

A Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Planning, Engineering, or related field with 2 years experience, or 2-year Post Secondary diploma with 4 years experience.

Knowledge of mechanical and electrical systems, computer technologies/IT and communications hardware/software is required.

Technical and mechanical experience working with complex fleet/transit related technology and mechanical equipment is preferred.

Knowledge of City fleet and transit vehicles maintenance, current and future Smart Transit Technology trends and practices is an asset.

Experience installing, diagnosing, maintaining and repairing electronic/video systems for public transportation (communications, fare collection and vehicle smart systems), considered an asset.

Equivalent combinations of experience and education may be considered.
Hours of Work

Benefit from flexible work hours by adjusting your start and end times by 30 or 60 minutes around our core hours of 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.

We offer a compressed bi-weekly work schedule of 72 hours, Monday - Friday, 8:00 – 5:00, with a biweekly regular day off (RDO).
Compensation

The salary ranges from $76,780.34 - $94,499.34 per year, including a comprehensive benefits package with a flexible spending account, pension plan, and accrued paid vacation starting at 3 weeks per year.
