Job Overview
We are seeking a reliable and skilled Tow Truck Operator to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for safely towing vehicles, providing excellent customer service, and ensuring efficient operation of tow trucks. This role requires a strong understanding of vehicle mechanics, safety protocols, and the ability to handle various roadside situations professionally. The Tow Truck Operator plays a vital role in maintaining customer satisfaction and supporting our company's reputation for dependable service.
Responsibilities
- Safely operate tow trucks to recover, transport, and deliver vehicles in a variety of conditions
- Assist customers with vehicle retrieval and provide professional customer service during stressful situations
- Perform routine inspections and basic maintenance on tow trucks to ensure operational safety and compliance
- Use mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot minor issues with vehicles or towing equipment
- Coordinate with dispatch to prioritize jobs and ensure timely service delivery
- Maintain accurate records of all towing activities, including documentation of vehicle conditions and locations
- Adhere to all safety regulations and traffic laws while on the road
- Assist with forklift operation or automotive repairs as needed, demonstrating versatility in handling related tasks
Requirements
- Valid G driver’s license with clean driving record
- Mechanical knowledge related to vehicle repair and towing equipment
- Experience in customer service, demonstrating professionalism and effective communication skills
- Prior experience in roadside assistance is desirable
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure in emergency situations
- Physical ability to lift heavy objects and perform manual tasks related to vehicle recovery and maintenance
- Commitment to safety standards and company policies at all times
Pay: $40,416.16-$98,306.60 per year
