Position Overview
We’re looking for an experienced Class 1 Driver to join our Cranbrook-based team. You’ll operate well-maintained, modern equipment, including Super-Bs, Dry Vans, Reefers, and Tri-dem Step Decks — while transporting freight safely and efficiently across Western Canada.
This position offers a mix of local and regional hauls, working closely with a supportive dispatch and operations team that values clear communication and accountability.
Key Responsibilities
- Safely operate and maintain Class 1 trucks and trailer combinations.
- Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip inspections.
- Comply with all transport and safety regulations at all times.
- Maintain accurate driver logs, inspection reports, and trip documentation.
- Communicate proactively with dispatch and other team members.
- Deliver freight professionally and provide outstanding customer service.
Qualifications
- Valid Class 1 Driver’s License with a clean driver’s abstract.
- Minimum 2 years of commercial driving experience.
- Minimum 2 years of mountain driving experience.
- Experience with Super-B, Dry Van, Reefer, or Step Deck trailers.
- CN/CP Rail experience considered an asset.
- Excellent safety awareness, reliability, and communication skills.
- Experience operating manual transmission vehicles.
