The Village of Glendale Crossing located in London, Ontario is currently seeking a Casual Registered Nurse to join our team. Availability to work days, evenings and nights as needed is required.
Has current registration with the College of Nurses of Ontario as a Registered Nurse
Holds a current Heart Save Level of CPR
Geriatric nursing experience preferred
Able to cope with the physical, mental, and emotional demands of the job
Agrees with the objectives and philosophy of the Village and displays a caring, respectful attitude toward the residents, families, and team members
Supports and embraces a resident-centered social culture
Demonstrates excellent communication and time management skills
Shows skill in planning, coordinating, and supervising nursing team members
Committed to supporting residents with a high quality of personal care
Demonstrates organization and leadership skills
Works well independently and as a co-operative team member
Demonstrates skill with computers (PointClickCare, MS Word, internet, and office equipment)
Annual AIS certification required
The Registered Nurse provides professional care to residents and leads and teaches Personal Care Aides. The Registered Nurse plans, directs, and coordinates all activities necessary for the care of the residents.
The positions are ‘people intensive’ with a substantial component of the job involving fostering flexible living and exemplary resident/family relations while advocating for improvements to quality of life.
