Cook – Job Description
We are looking for a reliable and motivated Cook to join our team. The ideal candidate is passionate about food, works well in a fast-paced environment, and is committed to maintaining high standards of food quality, cleanliness, and customer service.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and cook menu items according to recipes and company standards
- Ensure food quality, presentation, and portion control are maintained
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of kitchen stations and equipment
- Follow food safety, sanitation, and health regulations at all times
- Assist with food prep, inventory, and stocking supplies
- Monitor ingredient freshness and report shortages or waste
- Work collaboratively with kitchen and front-of-house team members
- Handle multiple orders efficiently during busy service periods
- Assist with opening and closing kitchen duties
Qualifications
- Previous cooking or kitchen experience preferred
- Knowledge of food safety and kitchen sanitation practices
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Strong teamwork and communication skills
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs
- Flexible availability, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
- Food Handler Certification is considered an asset
