Job Overview
We are seeking compassionate and dedicated Respite Workers to provide temporary relief to the primary caregiver of an individual with a disability. As a Respite Worker, you will play a crucial role in enhancing the quality of life by offering support in daily activities and ensuring their comfort and safety. This position requires a nurturing personality and the ability to adapt to various care needs.
Duties
- Assist client with personal care tasks such as bathing, grooming, and dressing.
- Provide companionship and engage clients in meaningful activities.
- Help with meal preparation
- Maintain a clean and safe environment for clients, including light housekeeping duties.
- Support clients with mobility assistance and heavy lifting when necessary.
- Adhere to all safety protocols and guidelines while providing care.
Requirements
- Previous experience in working with persons with disabilities is preferred.
- Strong caregiving skills with an understanding of home care practices.
- Compassionate demeanor with excellent communication skills.
- Certification in caregiving or related fields is a plus but not mandatory.
- Must be able to work flexible hours, ideal for nursing students including evenings and weekends if needed.
- A valid driver's license is required required depending on client needs.
