Duties:
- Greet patients and visitors in a friendly and professional manner
- Assist the dentist during dental procedures
- Prepare and sterilize dental instruments and equipment
- Take digital dental x-rays, intra-oral photos, and digital scans - HARP certification
- Provide chairside assistance to the dentist during procedures
- Take impressions as needed
- Stock operatories
- Educate patients on oral hygiene and post-operative care
- Answer phone calls and schedule appointments
- Verify insurance coverage and collect patient information
- Update patient information and their preferred method of contact
- Maintain electronic medical records, consent records and update patient files
- Assist with billing and insurance claims processing
- Manage the front desk area and ensure a clean and organized office environment
- Communicate well with our patients and dental team
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in a dental office setting
- Dental assisting experience preferred, but willing to train the right candidate
- Proficiency in ClearDent or similar dental software
- Familiarity with intra-oral scanning for digital impressions
- Proficient in using computers and dental management software
- Knowledgeable about dental terminology, dental insurance and scheduling
- Excellent communication, interpersonal and customer service skills
- Strong attention to detail and organizational abilities
- Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively in a fast-paced environment
