Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and reliable Handy Man to join our team on a call in basis. The ideal candidate will possess a diverse skill set in various maintenance and repair tasks, demonstrating a strong work ethic and attention to detail. This role is essential for ensuring that our facilities remain in excellent condition, providing a safe and functional environment for all.
Responsibilities
- Perform general maintenance and repairs on buildings
- Conduct routine inspections of premises and equipment to identify issues that require attention.
- Respond promptly to maintenance requests from staff or tenants, ensuring timely resolution of problems.
- Maintain tools and equipment in good working condition, ensuring safety standards are met.
- Assist with the installation of fixtures, appliances, and other equipment as needed.
- Collaborate with other team members to complete larger projects efficiently.
- Keep accurate records of maintenance activities and repairs performed.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Handy Man or in a similar role is preferred.
- Strong knowledge of building trades such as plumbing, electrical work, and carpentry.
- Ability to use hand tools and power tools safely and effectively.
- Excellent problem-solving skills with a keen eye for detail.
- Good physical condition with the ability to lift heavy objects when necessary.
- Effective communication skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
- A valid driver's license may be required for travel between job sites.
- Must posess or willing to get a WCB clearance
