Job Summary
We’re looking for someone who can lead from the floor and take ownership of our large batch powder coating operations. This role is responsible for keeping production moving, maintaining quality standards, ensuring a safe work environment, and supporting the team to hit daily goals. This is a hands on role requiring constant communication with collaborative departments to meet customer needs. The ideal candidate must be physically fit to do the job and able to work in a warm environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Run and oversee day to day operations in large batch powder coating, including prep, coating, curing, and final inspection - Willing to train the best fitting candidate.
- Lead, support, and train powder coating operation once capable.
- Maintain safety, quality, and environmental standards
- Keep equipment running through routine maintenance coordination and troubleshooting
- Monitor workload and production schedules to keep jobs moving and on time
- Inspect finished product and address quality concerns before they leave the department
- Identify coating issues and work with the team on corrective actions
- Work closely with other departments to improve flow and reduce bottlenecks
- Track production progress and maintain accurate job records
- Stay active on the floor and communicate priorities clearly to the team
Qualifications
- Able to lift up to 50 lbs
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, high pressure environment
- Strong communication and ability to direct priorities
- Forklift certification
- Hands on leadership style with an active presence on the floor
- Commitment to safety, quality, accountability, and continuous improvement
Hands on training will be provided in this role. Must be physically fit and able to assist in Production needs. This is a long term position, with opportunities for growth.
Pay: $17.85-$26.00 per hour
