Job Summary
Armdale Yacht Club has an opening for a Senior Boatyard Worker. This role is responsible for organizing, coordinating and performing marine service functions for a variety of recreational boats and equipment, and assisting the Marine Service Manager in the overall operation and maintenance of the AYC boatyard, marina and its facilities and services to the AYC members and guests. The ideal candidate is self-motivated, that will require little supervision who enjoys working outside.
This is a full-time position. Standard Work Week is 40 hours per week, 8:00 a.m. – 4:30 p.m., Monday – Friday with flexibility around business requirement. This may require shifts in the evenings and weekends when it is deemed necessary.

Qualifications:
- High School diploma or GED, or equivalent training and work experience• Valid Nova Scotia driver’s licence• Valid Pleasure Craft Operator’s Card and VHF Radio Licence (If required, these qualifications can be obtained during the probationary period)
Assets:
- Carpentry skills• Working with heavy equipment• Previous experience working in a Marina /Yacht Club• Gas & Diesel engine knowledge
Essential Functions:
- Operate AYC vehicles, vessels and equipment• Hauling and Launching vessels with marine railway• Pressure washing vessels• Maintenance and repair of vessels, equipment and facilities• Ensure that all work boats, yard equipment and tools are kept in a good and safe state of affairs• Perform marina, cradle and equipment inspections• Operate tender and fuel service, as required• Perform other related duties as assigned by the Marine Services Manager.
