For over 25 years, we have provided supportive cancer care to enhance the quality of life, health and well-being of people living with cancer and their families. We offer life-changing, one-on-one and group support including exercise therapy, stress management, nutrition, and counselling services.
Position Overview
The InspireHealth Care Coordinator supports the organization’s patient care operations and front desk responsibilities, providing exceptional first point of contact for patients, support people, and other stakeholders. Reporting to the Manager of Administration, the role is best suited for an energetic professional who thrives while multi-tasking, is highly organized, flexible, takes ownership of tasks, and maintains a high attention to detail. The ideal Care Coordinator has strong customer service skills, a compassionate presence and possesses excellent communication and people skills. The ability to work independently while part of a team and to exercise sound judgement is essential.
Key Responsibilities:
- Implement effective and seamless operations of in-person and virtual programs including online class support and appointments with physicians, dietitians, counsellors and exercise therapists.
- Create a seamless patient experience from registration to appointment/class booking and program facilitation, both in-person and virtual. This includes answering a high volume of patient inquiries and correspondence via telephone, email, and in-person, always with care and compassion.
- Daily patient data management in Electronic Medical Records system and coordination of medical records with other healthcare organizations.
- Maintain a warm and welcoming environment for all clients and visitors and maintain a clean, organized Centre.
- Community outreach to promote organizational awareness and new patient registrations.
- Receive and process donations and support organization fundraising initiatives such as our annual gala and Rain Walk.
- Oversee clinician and volunteer onboarding.
Qualifications and Skills:
- At least 2 years of progressive experience in patient care administration or operations. Previous experience in an administrative role or experience in a clinical setting is ideal.
- Comfortable with technology and strongly skilled in Microsoft Office, Electronic Medical Records systems, and communications platforms such as Zoom & Telus Business Connect.
- Excellent oral and written communication and strong people skills.
- Ability to use critical thinking skills and take initiative, with a strong aptitude for problem-solving and remaining adaptable.
- Thrives in a dynamic environment while multi-tasking.
- Ability to work as part of a team, as well as independently.
- Ability to multi-task with grace and remain detail oriented at all times
- Ability to work with a broad range of people including patients, support people, volunteers and staff
- Capacity to maintain highest level of discretion and confidentiality

- Salary range for this position is $21 - $23/hr but may fall outside of this range depending on candidate profile.
