The Caterpillar Industrial Business Manager will be a key role that will lead the Caterpillar yellow Industrial business growth of engines, as well as the bold aftermarket growth that is required. This role will be separate from the Perkins business and define a corresponding strategy to grow the business, independently.
The Industry Manager will be accountable for developing and executing the new Eastern Canada business model for Caterpillar yellow equipment sales and aftermarket.
Provide direction and structure to optimize market segment coverage. Identify key market focus and associated growth opportunities through products, services and implementation of market penetration strategies; territory coverage; business planning; process optimization. Execute the strategy and drive growth and key performance results, in order to effect a smooth transition from the previous model. Alignment with Perkins is critical.
Inspire a safe work and customer environment, strong engagement, support and development of the team, ensuring clearly defined roles and performance goals. The Caterpillar Industrial business Manager will manage the sales team directly and collaborate with the entire dealership to drive industry leading product support and engine sales.
Develop strategic customer focus and engagement / territory coverage and manage divisional initiatives / processes
Proactively and effectively leverage and manage the relationship with Caterpillar IPSD team to help influence the future direction of the business
Job Qualifications :
Minimum 5 years of senior leadership/management experience;
Bilingual French and English an asset
Prime Product and Product Support experience;
Relevant university degree and/or equivalent business experience; Demonstrated business acumen;
Industry experience is a significant asset
Demonstrated strength in a team and individual coaching and development role;
Demonstrated integrity with the ability to communicate clearly, openly, aligning messages appropriately to audience;
Demonstrated ability to cultivate and maintain trusting and effective relationships with key stakeholders both externally and across our business;
