Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Real Estate Law Clerk to join our legal team in midtown Toronto. The ideal candidate will support the firm’s real estate practice. Duties
- Carriage of Real Estate files from beginning to end
- Preparation of all related documents for purchase and sale transactions, mortgage transactions, routine loan transactions and refinancing (on behalf of lenders and borrowers from both private and institutional lenders)
- Standard document production in relation to property acquisitions, dispositions and financings
- Conduct and review title searches, oversee off-title searches and draft requisition letters and responses
- Deal directly with clients, financial institutions, municipalities, land registry offices and title insurance
- companies
- Prepare record books promptly following completion of files
- Produce the highest quality of work
- Accountable for all work assigned

Requirements
- 1-2 years’ minimum experience as a Real Estate Law Clerk
- Successful completion of law clerk program
- ILCO certification, not mandatory
- Proficiency with Teraview
- Solid understanding of the Real Estate transaction process
- MS Office Suite of Applications
- Strong verbal and written communication
- Ability to problem solve
- Good judgement and decision making
- Strong interpersonal skills
- Organized, resourceful and detailed
- Self starter
Pay: $55,000.00-$70,000.00 per year
