Security Guard - Squamish
Paladin Security is looking for experienced Security Officers to join our team full-time at a post-secondary campus in Squamish.
Starting Pay Rate: $21/hour during training, then increases to $24/hour.
RESPONSIBILITIES:

Conduct regular foot patrols
-
Monitor CCTV cameras
-
Provide first aid
-
Manage lost and found
-
Write detailed incident reports
-
Respond to alarms
-
De-escalate potentially violent situations
-
Interact with clients and the general public
REQUIREMENTS:
-
Class 5 BC Driver's License
-
Excellent customer service and problem-solving skills
-
Strong English communication skills (written and verbal); confidence interacting verbally with team members, client personnel, members of the public, and emergency services

Occupational First Aid Level 2 (or the willingness and ability to successfully complete this training with Paladin if hired)

Physical ability to stand and/or patrol for the majority of a shift, including indoors, outdoors, in all weather conditions, up and down stairwells, and over uneven surfaces, and parking lots

Confidence approaching and leading in emergency situations, including trauma, aggression, intoxication, bodily fluids, etc.

A keen eye for watching and reporting irregularities, such as security breaches, facility and safety hazards, and emergency situations.

Basic skills in utilizing technology, including writing reports on a computer, tracking patrols in a smartphone, and communicating via two-way radio
