We are seeking a talented and personable Hair Stylist to join our vibrant salon team. We are looking for someone local or ready to move from different parts of Canada to Labrador -City. The ideal candidate will have a passion for hair styling, excellent customer service skills, and a keen eye for beauty trends. The Hair Stylist will be responsible for delivering high-quality hair services, maintaining sanitation standards, and engaging clients to ensure their satisfaction and loyalty.
Duties
- Provide a variety of hair styling services including cuts, color, treatments, and styling to meet client preferences
- Consult with clients to understand their desired look and recommend suitable styles and products
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of tools, workstations, and salon areas in compliance with health regulations
- Upsell hair care products and retail items to enhance client experience and salon revenue
- Manage front desk responsibilities such as scheduling appointments, checking in clients, and processing payments
- Foster positive relationships with clients through excellent communication skills, ensuring repeat business
- Stay updated on the latest hair trends, techniques, and products to offer innovative services
- Assist in maintaining a welcoming atmosphere that encourages client comfort and satisfaction
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a Hair Stylist or in a similar role within a salon environment
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with diverse clients
- Knowledge of sanitation standards and proper use of salon tools and equipment
- Ability to upsell retail products tactfully to enhance client satisfaction and sales goals
- Excellent communication skills to understand client needs and provide professional advice
- Experience with retail sales and front desk operations is preferred but not required
- A valid cosmetology license or certification as required by state regulations
- Friendly, professional demeanor with a passion for the beauty industry
