Overview
We are seeking a motivated and skilled 2nd or 3rd year Automotive Service Apprentice to join our dynamic team. This apprenticeship offers an excellent opportunity for individuals looking to advance their automotive repair skills in a professional dealership environment. The ideal candidate will possess foundational mechanical knowledge, hands-on experience with tools, and a strong desire to learn and grow within the automotive industry. Prior dealership experience and familiarity with various repair techniques are highly valued.
Responsibilities
- Assist senior technicians with diagnosing and repairing vehicles, ensuring quality workmanship
- Perform routine maintenance tasks such as oil changes, tire rotations, and brake inspections
- Use hand tools, power tools, and welding equipment to complete repairs and assembly tasks
- Read and interpret schematics and technical manuals to facilitate accurate repairs
- Conduct vehicle inspections to identify mechanical issues and recommend appropriate solutions
- Support the team in maintaining a clean and organized work environment
- Engage in ongoing training to develop advanced automotive repair skills
- Assist with vehicle assembly, parts replacement, and system diagnostics as needed
Skills
- Prior dealership or automotive repair experience is preferred
- Strong mechanical knowledge with familiarity in automotive systems and components
- Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, and welding equipment
- Ability to interpret schematics and technical diagrams accurately
- Capable of heavy lifting and performing physically demanding tasks safely
- Excellent customer service skills when interacting with clients or team members
- Knowledge of maintenance procedures and vehicle assembly processes
- Experience with vehicle diagnostics, troubleshooting, and repair techniques is a plus
- Commitment to safety standards and continuous learning within the automotive field
Pay: $21.50-$30.00 per hour
