O’Brien Fabrications Ltd. is looking for an experienced and driven Foreman to lead commercial and high-rise construction projects throughout the Tri-City, Guelph, Stratford, and surrounding areas.

Your Role
As Foreman, you will oversee all aspects of construction operations on site while acting as the key leader for field staff, subcontractors, and coordination with project management.
You will be responsible for:
• Leading crews and overseeing daily site operations
• Managing project schedules, manpower, materials, and equipment
• Ensuring projects are completed safely, efficiently, and to specification
• Maintaining strong communication with Project Managers, consultants, trades, and clients
• Identifying and managing change orders and project challenges proactively
• Reviewing drawings, specifications, and project documentation with accuracy
• Coordinating subcontractors and ensuring quality workmanship on site
• Conducting toolbox talks and maintaining all required safety documentation
• Ensuring compliance with OHSA regulations and company safety standards
• Delivering a professional and organized job site environment
Qualifications
• 8+ years of construction experience with a strong mechanical background
• Proven experience as a Site Foreman on commercial and/or high-rise projects
• Strong knowledge of sheet metal, HVAC, plumbing, and construction practices
• Ability to read and interpret drawings, specifications, and project documents
• Strong understanding of construction sequencing, coordination, and scheduling
• Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills
• Ability to mentor, motivate, and hold crews accountable
• Experience with Procore or similar construction management software is considered an asset
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
• Current certifications including:
WHMIS 2015
