Vista Geomatics Ltd is a mid-sized, multi-disciplined, and well-established land survey company based in Calgary, AB.
It is our aim to provide outstanding survey services to both Oil & Gas and Municipal / Construction customers with personalized, quality service performed safely, effectively, and efficiently. We take pride in our roots, our employees, and our extensive safety program.
We are currently seeking a Grader / Junior Party Chief to join our Municipal Division working in Calgary and surrounding areas.
Responsibilities:
- Check residential lot grading elevations and drainage
- Perform grading and construction-related survey work
- Work independently with minimal supervision
- Communicate professionally with client representatives, site supervisors, and project managers
- Complete field notes and documentation accurately
- Organize and maintain survey equipment
- Work safely and actively participate in Vista Geomatics’ HSE program
- Travel between job sites using personal vehicle
Requirements:
- Good written and verbal communication skills, and general computer knowledge
- Ability to work independently and manage workload efficiently
- Comfortable communicating with client representatives on site
- Reliable personal vehicle required for work purposes
- Valid Alberta driver’s license
- Physically fit and willing to work in varied environmental conditions
- Demonstrated flexibility in adapting to a wide variety of tasks and functions
- Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug and alcohol test prior to starting
- Ability to learn new processes and procedures easily
Assets:
- Diploma in Geomatics and/or Survey Technician, or equivalent
- Relevant grading, construction, or survey experience
- Certification in First Aid/CPR, CSTS, and WHMIS
- Experience working in residential construction environments
