Responsibilities
- Greet customers warmly and assist with their purchases in a professional manner
- Operate POS systems accurately to process cash, credit, and digital payments
- Handle cash handling duties with precision, including giving correct change and balancing registers at shift end
- Engage in upselling and suggestive selling to enhance the customer experience and increase sales
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the checkout area and merchandising displays
- Provide product information and conduct product demos when necessary
- Communicate effectively with customers, team members, and management to ensure smooth store operations
- Manage time efficiently during busy periods to minimize wait times
- Uphold phone etiquette when assisting customers via phone or online inquiries
Qualifications
- Excellent communication skills in English; bilingual abilities are a plus
- Prior experience in retail sales, cashiering, or customer service preferred
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Basic math skills for cash handling and transaction accuracy
- Familiarity with POS systems and retail merchandising is advantageous
