Job Overview:
- We are seeking a Senior Cost Estimating & Analytics Advisor to support the development and execution of Enbridge’s multi-billion-dollar project portfolio. As a key member of the Systems & Solutions Team, you will play a critical role in advancing the accuracy, consistency, and effectiveness of capital cost estimating methodologies, analytical models, and reporting solutions across the organization.

In this role, you will collaborate closely with Project Development, Project Controls, System Planning, System Design, and other business partners to enhance estimating tools, strengthen cost intelligence capabilities, generate actionable insights, and drive continuous improvement initiatives. Your expertise will help ensure informed decision-making and improve project outcomes across a diverse portfolio of capital projects.

Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the development, maintenance, enhancement, calibration, and governance of capital cost estimating tools supporting Gas Transmission & Midstream, Liquids Pipelines, Renewable Energy, Gas Storage, and Core Infrastructure projects.

Analyze historical project performance, estimate variances, market trends, contractor pricing, and project outcomes to identify opportunities to improve estimating methodologies and estimate accuracy.

Develop and implement methodologies to validate and calibrate estimating assumptions using internal project data, market intelligence, industry benchmarks, and contractor pricing information.

Support major estimating tool recalibration initiatives when significant variances are identified between estimate outputs and actual project performance.

Develop, maintain, and continuously improve analytical models, cost curves, benchmarking tools, and other decision-support solutions.

Design, develop, and maintain Power BI dashboards, KPI frameworks, and reporting solutions that provide stakeholders with actionable cost intelligence and business insights.

Translate complex datasets into meaningful analyses and recommendations that support project planning, forecasting, and investment decisions.

Identify cost drivers, trends, and performance indicators that influence project economics and capital investment outcomes.

Collaborate with Project Development, Project Controls, System Planning, System Design, and other business partners to understand operational needs and deliver innovative, data-driven solutions.

Provide timely and effective support for stakeholder requests related to estimating tools, analytics, reporting, and cost intelligence.

Lead and support continuous improvement initiatives aimed at enhancing estimating practices, reporting capabilities, governance processes, and organizational effectiveness.

Develop and maintain process documentation, calibration procedures, user guides, standards, and best practices to promote consistency, knowledge transfer, and operational excellence.
Qualifications
Required
-
Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business, Construction Management, Business Analytics, or a related discipline.

Minimum 7 years of progressive experience in capital cost estimating, project controls, analytics, business intelligence, or a related field.

Strong knowledge of capital cost estimating principles, estimate development methodologies, validation techniques, and estimating tool calibration practices.

Experience working with cost estimating systems, business intelligence platforms, data visualization tools, and analytical solutions.

Advanced proficiency with Power BI, reporting technologies, analytics tools, and cost estimating software.

Demonstrated ability to transform complex data into practical insights and business recommendations.

Strong analytical, problem-solving, organizational, and communication skills.

Proven ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional stakeholders and influence continuous improvement initiatives.
Preferred
-
Experience supporting large-scale capital infrastructure, energy, pipeline, utility, or industrial projects.

Knowledge of project controls, cost forecasting, benchmarking, and performance measurement methodologies.

Certified Estimating Professional (CEP) designation from AACE International, or an equivalent professional certification, is considered a strong asset.
