Island Pharmacy Central Fill is currently hiring Full-Time Pharmacy Assistants to join our team at our Central Fill Facility.
We are looking for candidates with strong computer skills, a positive attitude, and a keen attention to detail.
This is a non-patient-facing role and does not involve direct contact with the public. All work is performed in a behind-the-scenes, team-based environment focused on medication packaging and preparation.
Responsibilities:
- Operate and maintain automated blister packaging machine
- using computer systems to generate stock lists and labels
- ordering medications and medical/pharmacy supplies
- maintaining and counting inventory
- receiving, loading, and unloading deliveries
- preparing, packaging, assembling and labelling medication
- general cleaning and housekeeping
- referring problems or queries to the pharmacist or pharmacy manager
- additional duties when necessary
