What You'll Be Doing
You’ll be joining CIBC’s Capital Markets, Regulatory Reporting Services Team and lead complex projects to design strategic solutions aligned to CIBC’s enterprise architecture roadmap. As a Business Systems Consultant , you’ll support end-to-end project implementation and act as a subject matter expert in both business and technology. You’ll ideate and collaborate with a diverse team to create and build flexible, innovative solutions that deliver a best-in-class client experience.
How You'll Succeed
Understanding and Documenting Requirements - Work closely with business partners and understand regulatory guidance documentation to gather complex business requirements, perform data analysis and facilitate solution design discussions to ensure you meet project needs. Build strong relationships, lead discussions, listen and ask the right questions to ensure solutions meet requirements.
Solution Design - Build client-focused solutions that meet business requirements. Help the Regulatory Operations businesses reconcile results generated by the systems when there are unexpected variances on the submitted reports and implement solutions for new Regulations and other Capital Markets initiatives . Prepare and validate solution design documents around areas such as scope clarification, solution requirements, and test system changes in order to obtain signoff for their implementation.
Leading and Mentoring – Support end-to-end project implementation as a subject matter expert, and provide guidance to a diverse team of technology and project professionals. Maintain a collaborative work environment and support team members to resolve organizational, operational, and process problems.
Who You Are
You can demonstrate experience with: 3- 5 years in a BSA in a BSC role leading projects and designing solutions , with the ability to elicit requirements and write strong documentation and communication skills. You have strong SQL database querying ability, as well as data and gap analysis expertise and are proficient with Excel pivot tables & VB Macros . Ideally , you have a very good understanding of Capital Markets products OTC derivative products, Trade Life cycle and Regulatory requirements and have worked within Financial Services previously . It’s an asset if : You have 2 - 3 years of experience with messaging queues, APIs and experience with Agile methodologies, Application and/or Architecture Development.
You have a degree/diploma in: Computer Science, Business, and/or a related field.
