Overview of the opportunity:
KPMG’s Operations Practice helps clients to address their most pressing concerns including continuously streamlining operations to unlock value, deliver bottom-line improvements and enhance quality and service levels.
Our Operations Advisory practice are seeking a dynamic Senior Manager to strengthen our Management Consulting practice in the Toronto office. The successful candidate will be a team lead in the delivery of client projects and will contribute to our growth primarily with clients in the GTA Banking market.
What you will do:
As a Manager in our Banking Operation practice, you will use your strong business acumen and be a key member of the team. you’ll be learning from some of the best in the industry and growing your personal skillset by:
Providing expertise and knowledge for the full spectrum of client-related business activities and projects including: mortgage transformation, corporate lending, operations digitization and pricing optimization.
Building relationships and driving opportunities – strong in origination and farming of existing relationships.
Leading proposal teams, size, price, scope and staff engagements.
Supporting proposal development with support from Senior Leadership and work with KPMG leaders to develop thought leadership, white papers and other intellectual assets.
Developing trusted client relationships at the Director, Senior Director, AVP and VP levels, and managing engagement teams of up to 15 or more practitioners.
Working with the FS leadership team to achieve growth mandate.
What you bring to the role:
You have 10-15 years of experience working with top 5 Canadian banks in a consulting capacity. Previous consulting experience from Deloitte, Oliver Wymann, PwC, EY, Accenture, Capco or BCG is considered an asset. You have significant experience in operations transformation within retail and commercial banking, wealth and digital. You’re familiar with Fintech, digital, mobile and online technologies and vendors. You have a track record of cultivating relationships at senior levels – AVP/Senior Director and above.
You are comfortable working at both the conceptual and the hand-on level with big picture thinking, growth oriented leadership skills. You are passionate in supporting practice building, business development and project leadership across different banks and domains (as needed). You have a deep functional expertise in operations transformation (lean, cost take out, TOM redesign, understanding of LOB level TOM).

Strong analytical skills to assimilate complex information with a proven ability to translate vision and strategic priorities into operational and financial realities.
Strategic influencing skills to effectively persuade and influence peers and senior management.
