Job Summary:
Oskar Construction Ltd. is seeking a reliable and hardworking Construction Laborer to join our team. The successful candidate will assist with various construction tasks, including site preparation, material handling, equipment operation support, and maintaining a safe and clean work environment. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys physical work, working outdoors, and being part of a skilled construction crew in the Bow Valley.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in the preparation and cleanup of construction sites.
- Load, unload, and move construction materials.
- Operate hand tools and basic power tools under supervision.
- Support skilled tradespeople (carpenters, masons, etc.) with daily tasks.
- Follow safety procedures and wear appropriate protective equipment.
- Perform general labor duties such as digging, lifting, and carrying materials.
- Report any hazards, equipment malfunctions, or safety concerns to supervisors.
- Utilize digital software for safety documentation and timecard reporting
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in construction or general labor is an asset but not required.
- Ability to perform physically demanding tasks (lifting up to 50 lbs, standing for long periods).
- Basic knowledge of hand and power tools.
- Strong work ethic and ability to follow instructions.
- Willingness to work outdoors in various weather conditions.
- Valid driver’s license and clean driving record (preferred).
Compensation:
- Competitive hourly wage based on experience.
