We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Pet Groomer to join our team. In this career path you will be responsible for providing exceptional grooming services to pets while ensuring their comfort and safety.
we have full time or part time positions. Week days or weekends. Flexible qorking hours - Stability and reliability is what we seek. Attention to detail and following instructions.
Duties
- Perform grooming services including bathing, brushing, trimming, and styling pets according to breed standards and client preferences.
- Assess the condition of pets’ coats and skin, identifying any health issues that may require attention.
- Provide excellent customer service by communicating effectively with pet owners about grooming options, care instructions, and any concerns regarding their pets.
- Maintain a clean and organized grooming area, ensuring all tools and equipment are sanitized after each use.
- Handle pets safely and comfortably, utilizing proper techniques for lifting and restraining animals during grooming sessions.
- Keep accurate records of services performed and any observations regarding the health or behavior of the pets groomed.
- Stay updated on grooming trends, techniques, and best practices to continuously improve skills.
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a Pet Groomer or in a similar role is preferred.
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to build rapport with pet owners.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting as required when handling larger breeds or multiple pets.
- Knowledge of various dog breeds, grooming techniques, and animal behavior is a plus.
- Certification from a recognized grooming school is advantageous but not mandatory.
- Excellent communication skills and a friendly demeanor towards both pets and clients.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
