Founded in 1989, DeafBlind Ontario Services is a not-for-profit organization that helps individuals with deafblindness increase their independence and improve their quality of life through specialized services. With programs across the province, our services extend into a wide range of communities in Ontario.

  • Be present and visible to employees in Oshawa, Peterborough and Ottawa to answer all employees HR related questions and act as first point of contact in employee relation matters.
  • Partner with supervisors and managers to maintain a positive and collaborative culture.
  • Be accountable for recruitment and selection processes, biweekly payroll and
regional scheduling.
  • Provide guidance on matters pertaining to effective leadership, employee engagement and retention, attendance management, disability management, performance management, occupational health, safety and wellness and effective conflict resolution.

  • Completion of university degree/diploma in Human Resources or related field.
  • CHRL designation or in progress - required.
  • PCP (Payroll Compliance Practitioner) designation is required or actively working
towards certification.
  • 3-5 years of experience as a Human Resources Generalist
French is considered an asset
