Pace Processing is currently seeking a Mixer. This role is responsible for accurately preparing and mixing ingredients in accordance with company recipes, production schedules, and food safety standards. The Mixer ensures product consistency, quality, and efficiency while operating mixing equipment safely and effectively.
The ideal candidate demonstrates strong attention to detail, the ability to follow precise instructions, and the capability to work in a fast-paced production environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Measure, weigh, and prepare ingredients in accordance with approved recipes and production specifications
- Operate mixing equipment (e.g., mixers, bowls, and related machinery) safely and efficiently
- Load ingredients into mixing equipment in the correct sequence and quantities
- Monitor mixing processes to ensure consistency, texture, and quality of products
- Follow production planners & SOPS
- Perform start-up, shut-down, and changeover procedures as required
- Identify and report any product inconsistencies or quality concerns
- Follow all cleaning and sanitation procedures for equipment and work areas
- Disassemble, clean, sanitize, and reassemble mixing equipment and utensils
- Ensure all equipment is properly cleaned and ready for operation
- Maintain accurate records of ingredient usage and production batches
- Immediately report equipment malfunctions or safety concerns
- Comply with all Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs)
- Follow food safety, quality assurance, and sanitation standards at all times
- Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary work environment
- Participate in inspections, audits, and quality checks as required
- Remove all prohibited items (e.g., jewelry, nail polish) prior to entering production areas
- Wear all required personal protective equipment (PPE)
Qualifications & Requirements
- Previous experience in food production or mixing/batching is considered an asset
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow recipes and measurements accurately
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, physically demanding environment
- Ability to stand for extended periods and perform repetitive tasks
- Ability to lift between 15–25 kg (including handling ingredient bags)
- Ability to follow instructions and work both independently and within a team
- Reliable, punctual, and able to work assigned PM shifts
- Comfortable working in cool or temperature-controlled environments
Pay: From $18.50 per hour
