Duties
- Prepare detailed and accurate construction estimates using software.
- Collaborate with teammates including Outside and Inside Sales.
- Develop comprehensive proposals that include scope of work, pricing, and timelines.
- Engage with clients via phone or email to discuss project requirements, clarify specifications, and negotiate terms effectively.
- Manage the bidding process from initial inquiry through submission, ensuring all deadlines are met.
- Maintain organized records of estimates, proposals, and project documentation for future reference.
Skills
- Proficiency in construction estimating software is an asset.
- Strong negotiation skills to secure favorable terms while maintaining positive client relationships.
- Excellent project management abilities to coordinate multiple bids simultaneously and meet deadlines.
- Solid understanding of construction processes, materials, and pricing strategies within the industry.
- Effective communication skills for clear articulation of estimates and project details to clients and team members.
- Construction experience that provides practical insight into jobsite realities and cost factors is an asset.
- Ability to analyze project specifications thoroughly and develop competitive, accurate pricing.
