Overview
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Welder/Fabricator to join our manufacturing team. This role involves fabricating, welding, and assembling metal components with precision and adherence to specifications. The ideal candidate will possess strong mechanical knowledge and proficiency in various welding techniques, contributing to the production of high-quality structures and assemblies. Candidates with experience in construction, ductwork, or manufacturing environments are encouraged to apply. Responsibilities
- Perform welding operations using methods such as MIG, TIG, arc, and gas welding.
- Set up and operate welding equipment, ensuring proper settings for different materials and tasks.
- Fabricate, assemble, and repair metal structures and components according to specifications.
- Operate angle grinders and other power tools to prepare and finish welds.
- Interpret and follow blueprints, schematics, and welding symbols to determine specific welding requirements.
- Observes tests on welded surfaces, such as hydrostatic, x-ray, and dimension tolerance to evaluate weld quality and conformance to specifications.
- Has working knowledge of adjusting valves amperage, or voltage to obtain desired flame or arc.
- Measure and align workpieces to be welded according to specifications.
- Inspect completed welds to ensure they meet specifications and quality standards.
- Identify and correct defects on finished products.
- Report defective materials or material shortage to team lead.
- Report any equipment malfunctions or safety hazards to the Welding Supervisor.
- Collaborate with team members to complete projects efficiently and on schedule.
- Follow all safety protocols and wear appropriate personal protective equipment.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, ensuring all tools and equipment are properly stored and maintained.
- Perform other related duties as required.
Experience
- Proven experience in welding (MIG, TIG) and fabrication within manufacturing or construction settings.
- Mechanical knowledge related to machinery operation, assembly, and maintenance.
- Familiarity with crane operation, forklift handling, rigging techniques, and basic math skills for measurements.
- Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings accurately.
- Experience with plasma cutting, press brake machines, hand tools, power tools, and machining equipment is preferred.
- Knowledge of ductwork installation or construction experience is a plus.
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to work independently or as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
Pay: $22.00-$25.00 per hour
