About the Role
Rakotta Holdings is looking for a motivated, professional, and customer-focused Leasing Agent to join our team. The ideal candidate will have strong customer service skills, excellent communication abilities, and experience in leasing or property management.
As a Leasing Agent, you will be responsible for helping prospective and current residents throughout the leasing process, from initial inquiries and property tours to applications, lease agreements, and move-ins. You will play an important role in providing an excellent resident experience while helping Rakotta Holdings maintain strong occupancy and leasing performance.
Key Responsibilities
- Respond promptly and professionally to prospective tenant inquiries by phone, email, and in person.
- Conduct property tours and effectively present the features, amenities, and benefits of available units.
- Build positive relationships with prospective and current residents.
- Manage the leasing process from initial inquiry through application, approval, and move-in.
- Follow up with leads and prospective tenants to maximize leasing opportunities.
- Prepare and process leasing documentation and rental applications.
- Explain rental terms, policies, procedures, and lease agreements clearly to applicants and residents.
- Maintain accurate records of leads, applications, leases, and resident communications.
- Coordinate move-ins and assist with resident onboarding.
- Work with the property management team to address resident questions and concerns.
- Help maintain strong occupancy rates and achieve leasing goals.
- Maintain a professional and welcoming presence at the property.
- Ensure all leasing activities are conducted professionally and in accordance with applicable housing laws and company policies.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 3 years experience in leasing, property management or real estate.
- Strong customer service and interpersonal skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong sales and relationship-building abilities.
- Professional, friendly, and approachable personality.
- Ability to confidently conduct property tours and explain rental options.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to manage multiple inquiries, applications, and tasks efficiently.
- Comfortable using computers, email, property management software, and other technology.
- Ability to work independently while also being a strong team player.
- Previous leasing experience is an asset.
