Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Janitorial Cleaner to join our team in Espanola. This role is essential for maintaining the cleanliness and hygiene of commercial facilities, ensuring a safe and welcoming environment for clients and staff.
Duties
- Perform thorough cleaning of commercial spaces, including offices, restrooms, hallways, and common areas
- Use cleaning supplies and equipment effectively to ensure high standards of cleanliness
- Maintain floors through sweeping, mopping, and vacuuming
- Restock supplies such as paper towels, soap, and toilet paper in restrooms and kitchens
- Dispose of waste properly and ensure trash receptacles are emptied regularly
- Follow safety protocols during all cleaning activities to prevent accidents or injuries
- Arm and disarm the building security alarm system as required
- Ensure the facility is secure before leaving at the end of each shift
Experience
- Previous janitorial or commercial cleaning experience preferred
- Clean CPIC (criminal background check) is essential
- Reliable and dependable work ethic
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- A valid driver’s license is an asset but not required
