Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated 3rd or 4th Year Apprentice OR Journey Person Technician to join the our growing Velocity Chevrolet team. Potential signing bonus and moving expense reimbursement available! GM experience is an asset but not a requirement.
We offer a pension plan, full benefits, tool purchase program, paid training and Monday to Friday position with no required weekends.
Duties
- Perform comprehensive automotive repairs and maintenance on various vehicle types.
- Utilize power tools and equipment safely and effectively to complete tasks.
- Read and interpret schematics to diagnose issues accurately.
- Provide exceptional customer service by communicating effectively with clients regarding their vehicle's needs.
- Conduct thorough inspections of vehicles to identify potential problems and recommend solutions.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient workflow and high-quality outcomes.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment, adhering to safety protocols.
Requirements
- Proven mechanical knowledge with hands-on experience in automotive repair.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting as required during repairs and maintenance tasks.
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with clients.
- Proficient in the use of power tools and equipment related to automotive repair.
- Familiarity with reading schematics for troubleshooting purposes.
- Experience in welding is preferred but not mandatory.
- Previous experience working as a mechanic in a dealership or similar environment is advantageous.
- A commitment to maintaining high standards of quality and safety in all work performed.
