Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented part-time Hotel Houseperson to join our team. The ideal candidate responsible for supporting the housekeeping department by ensuring all public areas are clean and well-maintained, assisting with the delivery and retrieval of linens, and responding to guest and housekeeping team requests in a timely and professional manner. The Houseman plays a vital role in maintaining a clean, organized, and welcoming environment throughout the hotel.
Duties
- Maintain cleanliness of all public and back-of-house areas, including hallways, lobbies, restrooms, stairwells, and staff areas.
- Assist room attendants by delivering and retrieving linens, supplies, and trash.
- Perform thorough cleaning of guest rooms when required.
- Ensure housekeeping carts are stocked and organized at the beginning of each shift.
- Respond promptly to housekeeping calls and guest requests, including delivery of amenities or extra supplies.
- Monitor and report any maintenance issues or safety hazards to the appropriate department.
- Follow all hotel safety and sanitation procedures and company policies.
- Support deep cleaning projects and special assignments as directed by the housekeeping supervisor or manager.
- Maintain a positive and professional demeanor when interacting with guests and team members.
Requirements
- Previous housekeeping experience in a hotel or similar setting is an asset.
- Ability to lift, push, and pull heavy items and stand/walk for extended periods.
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to cleanliness.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- Flexible schedule, including availability to work weekends and holidays.
