Overview
We are seeking energetic and coachable Hologram Sales Representatives, or “Hologrammers,” to help independent restaurants, cafés, pubs, and bars bring their menus to life with QR-powered augmented reality table experiences.
This is a face-to-face, corridor-based sales role focused on walking tight neighbourhood clusters, booking owner demos, and closing simple, low-risk starter packages through a fast 60 to 90 second AR (augmented reality) hologram demo.
The ideal candidate enjoys being out in the city, starting respectful conversations with local owners, and following clear SHiNE-AR playbooks while keeping interactions relaxed, practical, and human.
This position offers a chance to help build SHiNE-AR from the ground up, with structured activity targets, appointment pay, and strong commission upside tied to real field performance.
Duties
- Walk assigned Edmonton food corridors and engage independently owned restaurants, cafés, pubs, diners, bakeries, and dessert spots.
- Ask directly for the owner and secure short in-person demos rather than trying to sell over the phone.
- Run the SHiNE-AR demo flow by presenting the QR card, inviting the owner to scan, and tying the experience to attention on desserts, drinks, and featured items.
- Present and close core SHiNE-AR offers
- Recommend the smallest meaningful next step that fits the venue’s size, style, and goals.
- Follow the 3-touch rule in each territory with planned return visits and final attempts before moving a venue into a future sweep.
- Log every door, contact, owner conversation, appointment, and sale in the daily and weekly rep tracking system.
- Work in buddy teams for planning, safety, accountability, and learning, while still approaching owners one-on-one.
- Collect clean production inputs after a strong demo, including menu photos, key items, best sellers, and brand details.
- Share field learning with the founder and team so scripts, offers, and demo assets keep improving.
Qualifications
- Experience (*helpful but we are willing to train*) in face-to-face roles such as outside sales, canvassing, fundraising, hospitality, customer service, or promotions
- Confidence starting conversations with busy owners and asking clear closing questions.
- Ability to follow scripts, checklists, and structured training without sounding robotic.
- Strong personal organization, including route planning, note-taking, and same-day activity tracking.
- Comfort using a smartphone for QR scans, web-based demos, and simple field follow-up.
- Willingness to work on foot or by transit in dense neighbourhood clusters.
- Coachable attitude, steady energy, and resilience when handling rejection or delayed follow-up.
- Genuine interest in local restaurants, hospitality, and practical tech that helps small businesses grow.
