Pinchin Ltd. has an opening for a Manager, FP&A to join the Finance group. Reporting to the Director, Financial Planning & Analysis, the position can be based out of any of Pinchin’s offices across the country.
We are seeking a talented and experienced Manager, FP&A to join our finance team. In this critical role, you will be responsible for overseeing and driving financial planning, budgeting, and analysis activities to provide valuable insights and support our strategic decision-making processes. As the Manager of FP&A, you will play a pivotal role in driving the financial success of the company’s Canadian operations.
What you will be doing at Pinchin

Lead the development and execution of financial planning and budgeting processes, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.

Collaborate with other Finance team members to complete month-end close activities and respond to year-end audit questions.

Prepare monthly management report packages for Canadian operations, with commentary on variances against budget.

Contribute to monthly reporting on total North American operations and quarterly board packages.

Conduct in-depth financial analysis, identify trends, and monitor/report on key performance indicators (KPIs) to monitor financial performance and drive continuous improvement.

Monitor and update standard cost rates assigned to projects and assist/provide guidance on standard billing rates.

Drive process improvements and automation initiatives, particularly the continued rollout and adoption of Power BI for financial reporting, to enhance efficiency and accuracy.

Partner with stakeholders across the organization to provide financial insights, guidance, and support for business initiatives, strategic projects, and other ad hoc requests.

Attract, coach, and mentor a financial analyst, to be hired once you have settled into this role.

Contribute to and support the delivery of assigned projects as they may arise.
What you bring to the Pinchin team

A university degree in accounting or related business discipline is required, as is a recognized accounting designation (or in the final stages of completion).

At least five (5) years of proven experience in an FP&A capacity, ideally in a leadership or senior role.

Strong understanding of financial concepts and accounting principles. Knowledge of US GAAP would be considered an asset.

Strong Microsoft Excel skills to perform complex calculations and develop/maintain financial models. Working knowledge of MS Power BI is preferred, but not required.

Strong business acumen and the ability to effectively communicate financial information to non-financial stakeholders.

Prior experience working in the consulting industry and/or using Deltek Vision (ERP) is a strong asset.

As the position can be filled anywhere in Canada, the candidate must be able to work with minimal supervision in a fast-paced environment and within established timelines.
