Job Summary
We are seeking compassionate and dedicated Personal Support Workers (PSWs) to provide high-quality care to individuals in various settings, including assisted living facilities, nursing homes, and private homes. The ideal candidate will have a strong commitment to enhancing the quality of life for seniors and individuals with disabilities through personalized care, support, and companionship. This role involves assisting with daily activities, medication management, and ensuring a safe and comfortable environment for clients.
Duties
- Assist clients with activities of daily living such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support
- Provide companionship and emotional support to clients, fostering a positive environment
- Administer medications as prescribed and monitor for any adverse reactions
- Support clients with meal preparation and feeding to meet their nutritional needs
- Perform light housekeeping tasks including cleaning and maintaining a hygienic living space
- Assist with mobility and transfers using proper techniques to ensure safety
- Observe and report any changes in health or behavior to healthcare professionals or family members
- Support clients with dementia or other cognitive impairments through specialized care techniques
- Document care provided accurately in accordance with agency policies and procedures
Experience
- Prior experience working in assisted living, nursing homes, or home care environments is preferred
- Experience caring for seniors or individuals with disabilities is highly desirable
- Knowledge of dementia care and medication administration is a plus
- Demonstrated caregiving skills with a compassionate approach to client needs
- Ability to perform caregiving duties such as cleaning, meal preparation, and personal hygiene assistance effectively
- Experience working with individuals who have special needs or require assistance with daily routines

Pay: $17.86-$29.37 per hour
