The purpose of the Service Cashier position is to ensure the smooth and efficient financial transactions within our dealership. As the first point of contact for customers completing purchases or service transactions, the Service Cashier plays a crucial role in maintaining a positive and customer-friendly atmosphere. This position contributes to the overall satisfaction of our customers by providing accurate and timely cashiering services, handling inquiries with professionalism, and contributing to the overall efficiency of our dealership operations.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES:
Process customer transactions accurately, including sales, service payments, and parts purchases
Provide excellent customer service during the payment process
Handle cash, credit, and electronic payments securely and in accordance with company policies.
Ensure accuracy in providing change and receipts
Greet customers in a friendly and welcoming manner.
Address customer inquiries and concerns with professionalism and courtesy
Maintain accurate and organized transaction records.
Reconcile daily cash reports and prepare deposits
Work closely with sales, service, and finance departments to ensure seamless customer transactions
Communicate effectively with team members to address any issues or discrepancies
Miscellaneous duties as assigned
QUALIFICATIONS:
1 year previous experience as a cashier, preferably in a customer service-oriented environment
Ability to read and comprehend instructions and information
Strong mathematical skills and attention to detail.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Familiarity with cash handling procedures and point-of-sale systems.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
Professional personal appearance and ability to work well with customers, the service department, the parts department, and politely handle customer complaints.
