T&H Heating & Air Conditioning is an established, family-run HVAC company based in Cambridge, serving Cambridge, Kitchener, Waterloo, Guelph, Brantford, Paris, and surrounding areas. We’ve built our reputation on residential new-construction work, and we’re now growing our residential service and maintenance division — which is where you come in.
This is a ground-floor role on a growing side of the business. You won’t be a number; you’ll be the face of our service to homeowners across the region, with the support and steady work of a company that’s been doing this for years.
The Role
You’ll primarily handle residential service, diagnostics, and maintenance across our service area — furnaces, air conditioners, and HRV/ERV systems. To keep your week full and your work varied, you’ll also lend a hand on equipment installations during quieter service stretches, drawing on our established new-construction and retail install work. (Service and maintenance-member calls always come first — installs fill the gaps.) Day to day, that means:
- Diagnosing and repairing residential heating and cooling equipment
- Seasonal AC and furnace startups and tune-ups
- Maintenance-plan visits for our growing member base
- Presenting clear repair options and pricing to homeowners on site (we use Housecall Pro — pricing is flat-rate, so no guesswork)
- Representing T&H professionally in customers’ homes and helping them understand the value of our maintenance plans
- Generating your own work — earning referrals, following up in neighbourhoods you’re already serving, and turning service calls into repairs and maintenance-plan sign-ups
- Supporting equipment installations during slower service periods — changeouts, new equipment, and new-construction jobs
- Participating in an after-hours/on-call rotation during peak season
What You Bring
Required:
- Ontario 313D (Residential Air Conditioning Systems Mechanic) licence
- G2 or G1 gas technician certification
- Valid refrigerant handling / ODP certification
- Valid Ontario driver’s licence with a clean abstract
- Solid diagnostic and repair experience on residential furnaces and AC
- A professional, customer-first manner — you’re comfortable in people’s homes and explaining things plainly
- A self-starter who treats every call as a chance to grow the business — you build relationships, ask for the referral, and develop your own pipeline rather than just working a dispatch list
Preferred (and reflected in higher pay):
- Ontario 313A (Refrigeration & Air Conditioning Systems Mechanic) licence — lets you take on our commercial work as well, and is reflected in higher pay
- Installation experience (changeouts, new construction) — valued, since this role flexes between service and install
- Experience with heat pumps and HRV/ERV systems
- Comfort with tablet-based work orders (Housecall Pro)
- A track record of turning service calls into repairs and maintenance-plan sign-ups
- Strong apprentices with relevant tickets are encouraged to apply
