Some of what you will do
As the Offsite Receiver, you will be directly responsible for picking, shipping, receiving, and tracking all merchandise, both saleable and non-saleable, at offsite location, servicing one or a grouping of retail stores. You preform system and/or manual tasks to support inbound and outbound operations. Identifies and resolves issues in various functional areas; breakdown, put away, replenishment, QC, staging, loading, shipping. Monitors and maintains SKUs and locations to support efficient warehouse processing and maximize warehouse space usage. Performs work under the direction of Offsite Receiving Supervisor. Under supervision of the Offsite Receiving Supervisor, you maintain off site storage including sensitivity to securing company assets and optimizing space. Work in a team relationship to assist fellow co-workers in the carrying out of regular duties including nightly building cleanup.
Specifically, You Will
Using proper scan receiving procedures, responsible to ensure all shipments are received, verified against the packing slip, and keyed on the same day.
Responsible for coordinating product flow to respective areas of the warehouse. Required to assist fellow associates with the placement of product.
Effectively and accurately uses the inventory management system (AS400) to view and maintain inventory levels and relevant information. Perform and or assist in various inventory counts in the various departments through the year.
Maintains an effective and efficient out of stock (OOS) process, alerting supervisor to any and all out of stock items and replenishes when necessary.
Alerts management and appropriate home office contact to any items that are not scanning.
Responsible for visually checking and alerting management or supervisors to any received merchandise that is damaged or missing.
Responsible for the efficient execution of the Return to Vendor (RTV) and cycle count processes.
Responsible for loading trucks with outgoing shipments.
Prioritize and processes customer orders, ensuring truck departure timelines are met.
Separate and labels product received, stocks product into identified locations verifying SKU and quantity accuracy
Pick and stock product to complete replenishment tasks
Pick product for customer orders ensuring quantity and unit-of-measure (UOM) picked is equal to quantity and UOM ordered
Perform basic housekeeping in assigned areas of warehouse
Adhere to all safety procedures in the performance of job duties
Regularly communicate and partner with your store team through email and phone.
Some of what you need
High school diploma or equivalent
Ability to become certified in the operation of warehouse equipment
Prior experience operating warehouse equipment, such as forklift and pallet jack helpful
Need to have good math, writing and reading skills
Proficiency in warehouse operations and WMS
Detail-oriented
Good judgment
Problem-solving skills
Limited data entry skills
Able to listen to verbal instructions
Ability to recognize process improvement opportunities and make recommendation
Demonstrates effective communication and interpersonal skills
Must be dependable and demonstrate the ability to read and follow directions
Must be a team player
A preference of one to two years of previous experience in a warehouse environment
