About the Job
R. Ferri Automotive is seeking a Parts Driver to join our growing team! The right candidate will be encircled by over 50 years of experience, under 11 premium dealerships offering the most extensive selection of luxury, sport and quality automobiles in the local area.

Responsibilities
- Pick up and deliver parts and equipment to the dealership
- Coordinate orders for pick up from customers, satellite stores or vendors with the Parts Manager, parts department staff and/or the Parts Shipping/Receiving Clerk
- Obtain recipient’s signature upon delivery and maintain a log of delivery times
- Unload truck each night and return all documents and undelivered parts to the Parts Department
- Collect payment from wholesale customers
- Keep parts delivery van neat and clean
- Maintain basic upkeep of the delivery truck; check oil with each fill-up; lubricate monthly and schedule safety inspections
- Dependability. Complete deliveries on schedule
- Safety - Understand and follow all safety rules and guidelines
- Communication - Speak and read well
- Flexibility - Accept additional or different tasks when circumstances change (e.g., emergencies, changes in personnel, work load)
- Follow all company and manufacturer policies, directives and procedures
- Attend all department meetings
- Pick up and drop off internal mail from to other locations as needed
- Perform any other duties as required
Qualifications:
- Ability to read and comprehend maps and directions
- Experience driving automatic and manual transmission
- Clean driving record
- Effective listening and communication skills
- Ability to follow all safety procedures
- Ability to drive van or pickup truck
- Strong sense of direction within delivery area
- Able to utilize communications equipment to contact dealership
- Capable to lift parts up to 100 lbs
- Good concentration while driving
- At least 2 years of professional driving experience or experience in a comparable role.
