Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated Forklift Operator to join our team. As a Forklift Operator, you will play a crucial role in our warehouse operations by efficiently and safely handling materials using forklifts and other equipment. The ideal candidate will have experience in warehouse distribution, possess mechanical knowledge, and be proficient in operating various types of equipment such as forklifts, clamp trucks, and order pickers.
Duties:
- Safely operate forklifts( Counter Balances, Reach, pallet Jack) and order pickers to move materials within the warehouse.
- Perform heavy lifting tasks to load and unload materials from trucks and storage areas
- Utilize warehouse management systems to track inventory movement and maintain accurate records
- Conduct regular inspections of equipment to ensure proper functioning
- Collaborate with team members to fulfill orders accurately and efficiently
- Adhere to safety protocols and procedures at all times
- Assist in maintaining a clean and organized work environment
- Complete other duties as assigned by the supervisor
Requirements:
- Prior experience as a Forklift Operator or in a similar role preferred
- Proficiency in basic math skills for inventory tracking and order picking
- Knowledge of warehouse distribution processes and procedures
- Familiarity with operating warehouse management systems is a plus
- Strong mechanical aptitude to troubleshoot minor equipment issues
- Ability to perform heavy lifting tasks and work in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
- Valid certification to operate forklifts or willingness to obtain one
