Restocking supplies and ensuring equipment is available when needed. Transporting respiratory equipment throughout the hospital. Organizing workspaces and equipment storage areas. Responding efficiently to requests from clinical staff. Supporting Respiratory Therapists so they can focus on direct patient care. Contributing to a safe, organized, and efficient healthcare environment.
Description:
As a Service Worker I, you will be responsible for transporting patients (clients/residents) and equipment to and from different patient care areas within a hospital site. You will distribute and replenish hospital supplies throughout the units and clean equipment and patient care areas as directed. You may also transport lab specimens, blood and blood products, and patient charts. You will report any concerns regarding supplies and safety issues to Unit Managers and perform other duties as required.

Required Qualifications:
Grade 12 or equivalent.
Additional Required Qualifications:
Availability to work a variety of shifts, including weekdays and weekends. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. Ability to prioritize multiple tasks and respond effectively to changing demands. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while contributing positively to a team environment. Physical ability to perform the demands of the role, including prolonged standing and walking, lifting, pushing, pulling, carrying, and bending throughout the shift.
Preferred Qualifications:
Knowledge of infection prevention and control practices. Experience with cleaning and handling medical equipment. Familiarity with respiratory therapy equipment and related cleaning procedures. Previous experience working in a healthcare environment.
