Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive assessments of patients’ physical conditions, including mobility, strength, and pain levels
- Develop tailored treatment plans based on individual needs and medical histories
- Implement therapeutic interventions such as manual therapy, exercise programs, and modalities like ultrasound or electrical stimulation
- Monitor patient progress regularly and adjust treatment strategies accordingly
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including doctors, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to ensure cohesive care
- Educate patients and their families on injury prevention, rehabilitation exercises, and health maintenance strategies
- Maintain detailed documentation of patient assessments, treatment plans, and progress notes in compliance with healthcare regulations
Skills
- Proven hospital experience with a strong understanding of acute care environments
- Experience working with pediatric patients in pediatric or hospital settings
- Excellent patient care skills with a compassionate approach to diverse patient populations
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology relevant to physiotherapy and healthcare documentation
- Ability to work effectively within multidisciplinary teams in fast-paced clinical settings
- Exceptional communication skills to educate and motivate patients during their recovery process
- Demonstrated ability to prioritize tasks efficiently while maintaining attention to detail
