Health Care Aides Summary of Duties:
- Personal assistance and support services for clients with brain injury, complex mental and medical health diagnoses and responsive behaviors
- Provide basic health services for clients who have cognitive and functional limitations
- Provide physical and emotional support to clients in the community and in the care facility
- Provides direct care, personal assistance and support to the elderly and mildly physically disabled
- Assist with activities of daily living such as bathing, grooming, dressing, meal preparation, minor housekeeping and toileting.
- Assistance at doctor’s and specialists’ appointments
- DARP Charting
Only Candidates with the following qualifications need apply
· Health Care Aide Certificate (Must be registered with the CHLA to obtain a permit and insurance)
· Current First Aid and CPR (AED Certification)
· Medication Administration Certificate
· Current Police and Vulnerable Sector Check
· Current N5 Fit Test
· Proof of Covid-19 Double Immunization
· Tuberculosis Screening Record
· WHMIS Certificate
· Safe Food Handling Certificate (from AHS Website)
