The Administrative Assistant is responsible for the coordination of all administrative activities for the team and will support the Vice President of Strategy & Corporate Development and other team members. To be successful in this role, you must have the proven ability to build and maintain effective relationships with both internal and external clients at various levels of the organization, and you thrive in a fast-paced work environment.
Manage all general administrative support for the team, including scheduling meetings, arranging travel, managing multiple calendars, responding to general inquiries, ordering supplies, and expense reporting
Provide project management support for Strategy & Corporate Development projects, including conducting market and industry research and analysis
Maintain Corporate Development’s digital filing systems- focusing on labeling accuracy, file tracking and efficient retrieval, as well as manage databases for projects, investments and other proprietary information
Assist in planning and coordinating activities and events for the team, including offsite meetings, team building events, etc.
Prepare and coordinate material for key meetings including preparation of confidential presentations, reports and documents as required
Maintain positive working relationships across George Weston Limited, our operating businesses (Loblaw Companies Limited, Weston Foods, Choice Properties), and with external business partners
Prior experience in business analysis or market research preferred
Bachelor of Commerce considered an asset
Experienced administrative professional with experience in a comparative role (deadline-driven corporate environment supporting senior leaders, multiple team members and projects).
Demonstrates a professional attitude with a high degree of integrity and diplomacy, strong attention to detail, initiative, sound judgment and confidentiality
Strong organizational skills to simultaneously manage multiple projects, tasks and requests, coordinate meetings, etc.
Self-motivated and able to work under minimal supervision
Excellent interpersonal skills and communication skills (written and verbal)
Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office - Word, PowerPoint, Outlook
